Cabbing Class Description

Classes for beginning Cabbing are conducted at the workshop during normal workshop hours.

Remember, Sunday classes require scheduling an appointment with Steve.

Students will be taught how to operate the saws, and cabbing machines and they will produce 3 stones – an oval, a pear shape, and a freeform.  Students are taught machinery safety and technique, and how to prevent and correct mistakes in the cutting and polishing process.

Slabs for the production of these stones are included in the course fee and may be chosen by the student from a selection available.  The workshop will also provide shop aprons and safety glasses.  Each student will receive a booklet written by Don Dietz that reinforces the training.

Contact Steve or Sean to sign up.  All proceeds go to the FGCGMS.

The Boca Museum of Art School  also teaches a variety of courses.  Details of their course offerings, pricing and scheduling can be obtained from the Art School.
